The quick release clamps make opening and closing the filter when performing maintenance tasks, easy. The canister may be buried up to the clamps, make sure to use the OASE Filto Cap to completely conceal the filter. The moving bed bio-media offers additional surface area for beneficial bacteria only with the BioPress 1600. You can easily monitor the UVC, filter performance and pollutant level without opening filter. It’s best used with pumps with a 17' shut off or less and waterfalls up to 7' higher than the filter. The BioPress qualifies for the OASE Clear Water Guarantee when paired with the proper pump. It includes 2 types of filter foams, bio-media, a 1.25 “- 1.5” Sch 40 adapter, UVC, metric step fittings and 10' power cord.
